Check out a small clip from the upcoming release of the Bin Glitter Short Film.

Yeti Sounds Involvement

Bin Glitter is our finest short film feature to date. Yeti Sounds was involved from start to finish, including on-set recording and location sound.

Early on in pre-production of the short, the director had made it clear that she wanted the audio to play an important part in engaging the viewers in the feminine meaning of the film. In response to this, we decided to deliver the final project in 5.1 surround sound as we believed in a cinema environment, the sound wrapping around the viewers would allow for the short to grip the audience into a desired emotion. One example of Yeti Sounds, use of 5.1 to boost the story was during the shop scene. The use of the reverb, echoey radio and surrounding customers made the viewer feel like they were inside the shop and in action. It also allowed us to place fridge sounds, cash sounds and more in the space.

We created multiple environments, building an atmosphere inside of a pub by recording groups of people individually, ensuring a balance of ages, genders and voice tones were a crucial feature of this.

Yeti Sounds created a large amount of sound effects within this production. Being accurate and realistic was within our ambition, making this film unique and fit within production budgets.

This collaboration was a pleasure to work on, and one of Yeti Sounds proudest mixes to date.
